3 HAMMERS WELCOMES ONLINE GOLF PIONEERS
BACK TO WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

13 years ago, the pioneering golfing duo started their golfing journey at the
Wolverhampton based venue, with Andy first learning to play the sport at the age of 13,
as a member of their well renowned Junior Academy.
Their visit to the Complex was to film a new video to support their increasingly popular Me
& Me Golf online coaching platform. During their visit they met with 3 Hammers owner, Ian
Bonser, who was delighted to welcome them both back to where their journey first began.
Ian said “It was really great to see Andy and Piers again. They were instrumental in building
the 3 Hammers Golf Academy into an award winning business and I have delighted in
watching them flourish with their Me & My Golf venture which now has 674,000 subscribers
across the world.”
Complex Owner Ian, has joined the UK Golf Federation as a valued member on their
board. His 30+ year career brings valuable insights into running a multi award winning
golfing venue and shares his knowledge with it’s members at their regular meetings.
The golfing pair had a full day at the Complex filming and playing around the 18 hole
short course, praised for it’s high standards and accessibility for all levels of golfer. Piers was
particularly delighted to have secured his first ever hole in one on the course, during their
round, which proved to be the icing on the cake for a successful day of shooting.
Renowned for being fun and innovative pioneers of the game, 3 Hammers offered their
venue for the Me & My Golf duo, particularly as the green staff had continued to maintain
and develop the golf course throughout the lockdown period, and therefore, it was in a
truly superb condition.
