UK Golf Federation Champions "open access to golf"

Recently restructured UK Golf Federation to champion "open access to golf" sets off to grow its membership of proprietary golf clubs and driving ranges with new membership programmes and opportunities.

New membership programmes are now available "Premium and Venue" offering membership from £0 to £180 which give access to directory listing, a new and informative website, representation of all golf course and range owners by preserving their best interests and core values, supporting growth of participation in the game and creating the dynamic change to help golf move successfully into the 21st century and beyond.

Whilst key is representing the "independent golfer" who wants to be free to play a variety of courses and does not necessarily see his golf as a full member, the UKGF will promote new initiatives to give open access for this key sector of the market to try golf in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Over 900 proprietary golf facilities hold a major key to growing golf participation so and they need to be part of the way forward in developing new golfers and not held back by lack of representation in key decision making.

Doug Poole the new CEO for the UKGF said "we already have a large membership of golf clubs which we will grow over the coming years and throughout the process will find new initiatives for our members to be the first and key part for trying golf".
