GolfBIC Members Dinner at the Royal Automobile Club - London with guest speaker Guy Kinnings - CEO of the DP World Tour
Wednesday 30th April was the first of the UK Golf Federation GolfBIC 2025 members events which was sponsored by range technology partner Inrange and held at The Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, London. The Member’s Dinner was an enormous success, with guest speaker Guy Kinnings, CEO of the DP World Tour, taking an exciting Q&A session from the guests. 

Clearly the success was having Guy there for the evening, who has a wealth of knowledge on many aspects on the game of golf. Guy took questions from guests on many aspects of golf both past and present who enjoyed listening to his engaging responses. The Q&A was a resounding success and for everyone to the hear Guys interesting and insightful responses to the questions was great. 

As a federation as we now know more about the DP World Tour and its players which will help UK Golf Federation members to continue developing and running their golf facilities and businesses. A common theme throughout the night was the mutual agreement that as golf club owners & managers, we are all in the same business of making our customers enjoy the game of golf, bringing new players to the game and keeping the current golfers excited by what the game offers with the DP World Tour acting as the glitter that makes this happen. 

As you would expect, The Royal Automobile Club turned out to be the perfect location for the dinner and with the sun shining and a comfortable 22-degree evening, taking champagne outside on the Terrace overlooking London and Buckingham Palace was a real experience. Oops - the meal was exceptional too! 

The next members event will be GolfBIC 2, a collaborative event with The Elite Events, partnering with the CMAE and Golf Business News at the new for 2025 Golf Business Expo. This will be a one-day B2B golf show at the Whittlebury Park Golf Resort on Wednesday the 8th of October, hosting golf industry leaders and golf course operators for an event full of exhibitors, and key industry speakers.
