Chart Hills Ranked Among England’s Top 100 Golf Courses by Golf World
The recognition comes at a time of transformation for the Kent venue, which has been the focus of a significant multi year investment programme since RAMAC purchased the property in 2019. Most recently, this has included the unveiling of The Loop, a six hole par three course designed by Sir Nick Faldo. Positioned beside the driving range, it provides a short game test that is both practical for practice and enjoyable before or after a round. 

A new 668 square metre putting green has also opened, inspired by some of Faldo’s favourite greens, complete with its own Valley of Sin. In 2020-21 the club concluded a major sandcapping project across all 18 fairways, which has since been lauded for creating year round playability and conditioning, a rare feat for English parkland courses. 

More recently, in 2024-25 the club undertook a full renovation of its tee boxes across the Championship course. Each of the 72 tees was stripped back, levelled, drained, and returfed to deliver consistency year round, with new yardage based markers encouraging golfers to choose a set that matches their ability, from over 7,100 yards to just above 5,500.

Since the start of this project, Chart Hills has undergone a complete transformation, and under our ownership that will only continue in the future.” Designed by Sir Nick Faldo and opened in 1993, Chart Hills remains defined by bold architecture and memorable holes. The par five fifth, The Anaconda, is shaped by one of Europe’s longest bunkers, while the seventeenth, an island par three, is among the most dramatic late round challenges in English golf. 

The Barn, opened with aplomb in 2024 and provides four boutique style suites for up to 8 guests, catering both to golf groups and wedding parties.
