UK Golf Federation news

UK Golf Federation members are invited to put forward candidates or to pass this information to women who are invested in developing their skillset. Applications to the bursary, which totals £10,000 per annum for the next 3 years, can be made twice annually through the Women in Golf Awards website. The first application window closes on April 30th.

"This partnership with the Women in Golf Awards is an extension of the work we are already carrying out as a Foundation, using golf as a vehicle to drive opportunity for young people in the UK. We aim to enable them to experience the life-time rewards of golf, not only as a sport, but providing access to wider opportunities within the golf industry and golfing community,” commented Kate Rose, Chair of The Kate & Justin Rose Foundation. 

"We are looking forward to reading the applications, learning more about the young women who are choosing golf as their career and seeing where this bursary takes them.” Applications have already been received from aspiring young women working in retail, as greenkeeping staff and in golf club administration positions. "When we launched the Women in Golf Awards, one of our ambitions was to create opportunities that would help retain talented women in this amazing industry,” commented 

Founder of the Women in Golf Awards Nicole Wheatley. "There are many incredibly talented young women in the industry who reach a crossroads in their career. If we can provide funding for them to access training and development opportunities that inspire them to achieve their ambitions within golf, the industry as a whole will benefit.”
