Mendip Spring Golf Club

18 Hole Par71 Course, 9 Hole Par34 Course, Practice Facilities, Tuition, Pro Shop, Accommodation

The Par 71 Brinsea 18-hole championship course features many water hazards, long par 5 holes and challenging par 4s and par 3s. It provides a thorough examination of any golfer with fast, immaculate greens which are kept in excellent condition throughout the seasons.

The back nine can be particularly challenging. "Kinheil" the 11th hole has proven to be many a golfer's downfall. With " out of bounds" on the right, water hazards fringing both sides of the fairway, the small, well-guarded green a difficult target to hit. This tricky par 4 hole certainly merits its Stroke Index One status.

The 9 hole course is ideal for the beginner or novice player who perhaps lacks the basic skills or confidence to tackle our championship course.

Mendip Spring 9-hole Lakeside Course boasts seven par 4 and two par 3 holes and measures
2329 yards.  Two sets of stroke indexes allow 18 holes to be played by the more energetic.

Maintained to a very high standard, with lakes and an orchard to negotiate, the course is an
ideal choice for the novice golfer. Experienced players with limited time at their disposal, or
who wish to hone their short game, will not be disappointed with the Lakeside.

The Lakeside course is a pleasant venue for golf societies seeking a 27-hole golf package
in conjunction with the Brinsea Championship Course.

A separate membership arrangement is available for the Lakeside Course and is an attractive
alternative for golfers who do not wish to play the Brinsea on a regular basis.

15 Bay covered driving range, Golf Simulator,

Chipping Green with bunker practise and a Putting Green

The Mendip Spring driving range  offers excellent practice facilities for members and guests.
Our 15-bay driving range is undercover and floodlit in the evenings. This facility is open to
non-members and ball tokens can be bought in our Pro-Shop. Adjacent to the driving range
is a practice bunker which can be used in conjunction with the range.

There is also 2 excellent practice putting greens which are maintained by our
green staff to the same high standard as the greens on our Brinsea Championship
Course. The undulations on the green allow a variety of putting situations to be
practiced. And a few yards from our putting green is a separate green laid out
for chipping practice with a bunker to help take your game to a higher level.
