Caprington Golf Club

18 Hole Par68 Course, 9 Hole Course, Practice Putting Area
Caprington Golf Club is based at the municipal golf course set in the grounds of the Caprington Estate. The club and the course are located south of Kilmarnock near the west coast of Scotland.
Plans for the golf course were first drawn up 1907 and the layout was first published in the Kilmarnock Standard in 1909 and the golf course was formally opened for play by Councillor H.S Dunn JP.
The course is set in beautiful parkland and will provide golfers with an enjoyable experience on a picturesque golf course throughout the year.

Caprington Golf Club is easily accessible by road and is under half an hour’s drive from the city of Glasgow. There is also a bus route to the golf club going via Kilmarnock. The club is also within a few miles of the famous courses at Troon and Prestwick.

Caprington is an 18 hole parkland course with a par of 68 and a length of 5312m. The course has generous fairways and few hills and while the course is not the most difficult to play it is well worth visiting as it has many interesting feature holes.

As the golf course is a municipal course owned by the East Ayrshire Council tee times are always available to visitors except for Saturdays before 3pm. Bookings are made through the council. Green fees for the course are very reasonable and are the same throughout the week. Winter fees are cheaper. Buggies are available to hire.
The facilities at the clubhouse are open to visitors and golf parties booking through the club. Visitors are made most welcome in the club. The facilities are excellent and include locker rooms for men and women.

There is a practice area and putting green perfect for golfers who are looking to warm up before a round on the 18 hole course. There is also a 9 hole course which makes for an excellent warm up and practice before the longer course and an enjoyable short course in its own right.
