Machynlleth Golf Club

9 Hole Par34 Course designed by James Braid, Pitch & Putt Course,

Golf at Machynlleth means golf in idyllic surroundings, with easy walking and an uncrowded golf course

Machynlleth Golf Club is a much loved nine hole heathland golf course which is situated on the outskirts of Machynlleth, an historic market town in Powys, Mid Wales. Surrounded by wonderful mountain scenery, there are splendid views from every part of the golf course.

In spring and early summer, the course is at its best with colour from the gorse and rhododendrons and the occasional red kite circling overhead. The golf course is challenging, very enjoyable and provides a good test of golf for players of all levels.

We have a short pitch and putt course which is fun for all the family.

The course is 9 holes, Par 34, and measures 2863 yards (Par 68, 5726 yards if played over 18 holes).

The course was designed in 1904 by James Braid (6 February 1870 – 27 November 1950).  In 1913 it was played by Braid and J H Taylor – one of the pioneers of the modern game of golf.

It is an interesting challenge for golfers of all abilities.  Fairways are undulating and the views of the surrounding hills and valleys are stunning.
