Formed in 1924 by a small band of local men collected from the business, industrial, academic and ordinary life of Pontardawe; these men were intrepid enough to set the game of golf on its way in the locality.

In the following 94 years we have moved on from the original 9 holes, to the current 18 hole layout you will find today. Finally completed in 1968, the opening being marked by a round played by Professional Brian Huggett.

Over this period many improvements have been made, such as a new lake by the 5th hole through to the extended & refurbished clubhouse & impressive practice facilities.
