Enville Golf Club
Founded in 1935, Enville is one of the finest examples of heathland golf in the UK. The facilities were gradually extended over a period of years until 1983, when two eighteen hole courses were completed. 2010 saw the addition of one of the finest most extensive practice facilities in the Midlands.
The club has two outstanding eighteen hole courses presented in the highest order by our greenkeeping team. The Highgate, with a par of 72 and a Standard Scratch of 74. The Lodge has a par of 71 and Standard Scratch of 72.
Both Courses are a test for any golfer but above all provide an idyllic environment in which to play golf, combining a mixture of heathland surrounded with testing tree-lined fairways. The putting surfaces are gaining a reputation for being some of the best in the area, fast and smooth with subtle contours they are a joy to putt on. Enville Golf Club is typical of all English heathland golf courses and has the virtue of offering year round golf because of the well-drained sandy subsoil.
The courses do not put a premium on length however accuracy should always be a preferred strategy with ball placement key if you are going to shoot low around either of our courses.
Practice Area
Our exclusive, all grass, Private Members practice facility is considered by many to be the best of its kind within the UK. There is a six acre short game area with three full size chipping and pitching greens open all year round and maintained to golf course conditions. The main long game area covers twenty two acres and is over 360 yards long. The main grass tee is 220 yards long which ensures perfect practice conditions from real turf all year round (plastic mats are never used).
