Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club, situated just outside the historic town on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, is a real gem.

The course is open all year round and open to visitors and members alike, while the bar is available for members of the general public as well as members, and can be booked for private hire for special occasions.

Not overly long, the course is still a great test for golfers of all abilities, thanks in no small part to its superb undulating greens.

It’s an absolute pleasure to play at any time of the year, a cracking golf course in a fabulous rolling parkland setting with no winter greens ever in play, making it one of the best golf courses in North Yorkshire.

There have always been many great reasons to play golf at Richmond and with improvements constantly made both on and off the course, you will enjoy the test the course offers any time of the year.

New tees and bunkers are quite obvious, but Head Greenkeeper Iain Leversuch and his team are making subtle modifications to every hole as they constantly strive to further upgrade all areas of the course.

There are four par 5s and five par 3s, the signature hole being the short (162yds men, 119yds ladies) 18th, where the tee shot is hit over a wood to a green in front of the clubhouse, a picturesque setting to rival any in Yorkshire.
