Tree lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers and three beautiful water features makes this a solid test for any standard of golfer and the exceptional design and maturity of the course has gained it a reputation as a ‘thinking man’s course’. 

Lasting memories of the course will likely revolve around the ‘eye of the storm’ 11th - a par 3 with daunting pine trees and bunkers protecting a small green or the closing hole which brings you back to a grandstand finish in front of the clubhouse, where the pressure is on to clear the devilishly positioned 18th lake. 

Westerham’s first class practice facilities include an indoor training area, short game practice area and 10 acre driving range, supported by the fantastic new Churchill 9 hole academy course.

Overlooking the 9th and 18th greens, the Club’s impressive, contemporary clubhouse, offers excellent facilities and exceptional cuisine, backed by first class service, making it the perfect venue for any event from weddings and celebrations to societies and corporate days.

The new 9 hole, Par3 Churchill course at Westerham is the result of a 7 year project which began in 2009.

Designed with beginners in mind, this new course will be the focus for The Altonwood Group’s tuition centre, providing a first class venue at which juniors and adults alike can learn and develop their skills before progressing to a full-size course.

Following extensive re-development of the site, the course has been constructed to include wild ‘rough’ areas, bunkers and a lake, all of which lend a degree of difficulty which will test golfers of all standards.

Together with Westerham’s already extensive short game practice area, driving range and indoor tuition centre, the Churchill 9 provides the ultimate facility for beginners to build their confidence and hone their skills on the course.
