Waltham Windmill Golf Club

Challenging 18 Hole Course, Long Game Practice Area, Putting & Chipping Greens and Practice Nets
The idea of a golf course was first discussed early in the 1980’s when a design was produced by Clive Clark and Peter Alliss and work started in the late 1980’s.

Unfortunately there was not sufficient funding and work stopped leaving the site untouched for six years until it was purchased by the current owners in 1994. They redesigned the layout of the course and work began again in 1995 with the club opening for play in May 1997.

Waltham Windmill Golf Club now offers an exciting and challenging round of golf in a beautiful landscaped setting in 125 acres of Lincolnshire countryside.

The course is made up of two loops of nine holes, enabling golfers to start on either the 1st or 10th holes. The first loop of nine mainly follows the boundaries of the course and the back nine weaves around the middle of the course.

It is mainly parkland with many of the fairways lined with trees, There is added interest from nine ponds which come into play on nine of the holes. These provide a challenge not only from the tee but also around some of the greens.

The course features a comprehensive irrigation system of greens and tees which together with USGA greens and excellent drainage ensures all year round play.
