18 Hole 71 Par Golf Course
Set in peaceful and tranquil countryside near the hamlet of Hawksworth, we are only 10 miles from Leeds and 8 miles from Bradford. A Herbert Fowler masterpiece since 1923, the course stands proudly alongside his other English classics – Walton Heath, The Berkshire and Delamere Forest to name but a few.

The Bradford Golf Club extends a warm and friendly Yorkshire Welcome to all our visitors.
Our Par 71 Championship Course was designed in 1923 by W Herbert Fowler, one of the world’s great golf architects renowned for his work on many of Britain’s finest courses, the most notable being Walton Heath. He also altered or renovated several famous courses, including Royal Lytham & St Annes and the iconic 18th hole at Pebble Beach. Today, the course is still regarded as one of the very best in the region and provides a real challenge for golfers of all handicaps.

The course is a moorland links which commands stunning views over Baildon and Rombald Moors. It runs in two natural loops with the 10th and 18th holes finishing outside the Clubhouse. Many holes are played along well-defined, tree-lined fairways to fast and testing greens with subtle borrows.

Always in immaculate condition, the course has recently undergone a significant £1 million improvement programme to ensure that it remains pristine and playable throughout the seasons in all but the most adverse weather conditions.

We are the home of The Hawksworth Trophy, a prestgious 36-hole medal-play competition for the leading amateur golfers in Northern England and the course continues to be used for many prestigious Yorkshire Championship events.
