Crosland Heath Golf Club

18 Hole Dr Alister MacKenzie Par 71 Golf Course
Founded in 1914, Crosland Heath sits on the hills above the old Industrial town of Huddersfield enjoying extensive panoramic views over the Colne Valley. Despite its lofty Pennine position it is a flat, easy walking course measuring just over 6100 yards.

A perfect example of an Alister MacKenzie design, the course is relatively unchanged from it's original design of 100 years ago. The heathland course is free draining with firm springy fairways and stunning "tower" par 3's based around old quarries. The par 5 & par 3 holes all run in opposing directions as do the opening 4 holes, meaning the golfer plays to all points of the compass.

"The Heath" as it's known locally is acknowledged as one of the friendliest places to be a member and extends this fellowship to visitors whether Society or Individual players.

The club hosts a large number of Open events throughout the year and offers a wide range of visiting packages to suit all tastes and budgets. 2011 saw the club voted by National Club Golfer as one of the top 50 Winter courses in the country along with high praise in Golf World on the quality of the course throughout the Winter months. You can rest assured that on visiting the club you will not be disappointed with the course or the warm Yorkshire welcome.
