Bentham Golf Club

18 Hole Golf Course, 8 Bay Driving Range and Pro Shop

Bentham Golf Club is a picturesque, family-run 18 hole Golf course situated in the Three Peaks area of North Yorkshire which is famous for its wonderful scenery. We offer a beautiful 18-hole golf course, situated where Lake, Forest and Dale collide. The stunning views from the course provide a welcome distraction for players who are struggling with their game.

Holes 1-6

The main feature of the course is the beautiful views of Ingleborough, which can be seen from most holes. The first is a straight par 4 to ease you into the round. At the second, a long drive is needed to get you in a good position. The third is a new hole, a par four from an elevated tea. The fourth plays horizontally to the fields, so keep your eye on your ball! The next hole plays downhill, and sets the golfer up for a small par three. Water hazards on the left, so be careful to play down the center or to the right.

Holes 7-13

The seventh hole is all uphill but there is ample recompense when you reach the green because this is surely the best of several outstanding viewpoints on the course. This brings the player to a short par 3, followed by a long dog-left left for the 9th hole.  Next up is a tricky shot over a small lake, our signature hole which offers great views from the tee. The long par four follows up the hill. The player should stay left, to avoid any rough landing.  Next up is the twelfth, a straightforward par four, but again, keep left to avoid disappointment. The next tee shot offers the player two choices. Play the ball with draw, to get around the trees, or to play into the semi rough, for a chip over two bunkers.

 Holes 14-18

Fourteen plays to an elevated green up the sloping fairway. Be careful of surrounding bunkers.  Our most recent addition, the fifteenth is a short par 4 with a few sneaky hazards.  If your not too tired, the bigger hitter can add fade on the sixteenth to give himself/herself a good approach for the green. Another uphill journey brings you to the 17th, a short par three. Watch the lake on the left!! Finally, the 18th, a long view down the fairway back towards the clubhouse. A long straight drive will set you up well for a good score, however, watch out for the ditch just shy of the green.
