This parkland course is located in an extremely convenient and peaceful location only 2 miles north of the York Ring Road, yet it lies amidst attractive countryside in the heart of the Forest of Galtres from which it takes its name.

The course covers about 120 acres and is an 18 hole course measuring 6,534 yards from the medal tee.  It is a par 72 and the standard Scratch Score is 71. 

The course is a well-designed and flat parkland course with raised greens constructed to USGA standards and providing putting surfaces capable of all year round play.
