Five Lakes Golf Club

Two 18 Hole Courses, Covered Driving Range, Three Practice Greens, Pitching & Chipping with Bunker Area

The Golf Club, which is part of the Five Lakes Resort complex, is conveniently located between Chelmsford and Colchester with Tiptree and Maldon just down the road.

The Club comprises of very active Menís, Seniors, Ladies and Juniors sections who play on two excellent courses: the championship standard 6,841-yard Lakes course; and the very challenging 6,181-yard Links course.  Both courses are in play throughout the year and, unlike several courses, do not resort to temporary tees or greens in the Winter months with the exception of par 3's on the Lakes course.

All sections of the Club have dedicated tee-times and play a full range of competitions, both serious and fun, to a published annual Tournament Calendar.  Tee-times outside of scheduled competitions are readily available for members and guests to play in less formal groups or simply to enjoy a round with friends.

In addition to two golf courses Five Lakes has excellent practice and training facilities with three putting greens, a chipping green, an undercover driving range, and a bunker to practice those tricky sand shots.  7-day members also have full access to the Hotelís Country Club facilities and swimming pool.

The Lakes course, makes the most of our beautiful surroundings. The tees and greens have been built to USGA standards. To score well on the 6,313 yard course you will need long drives and accurate approaches. As the name suggests water does feature across this challenging par 72 course.

A slightly less challenging course, is The Links Course with a par 71 and 5,981 yards. It offers plenty of variety and challenges for even the most experienced player, with its narrow fairways and well-placed greens that require accurate approach play.

Five Lakes has great practise facilities for you to hone your skills.

We have an eight bay covered driving very close to the hotel and a grass area to practise your iron shots from.

There is also an excellent short game area for pitching and chipping and a greenside bunker. Five Lakes has three practise putting greens for you to work on your stroke.
