18 Hole Par 74 Course
Aerial view of the 18th hole

Located in Barston, Solihull, five minutes from Meriden, in the centre of England, is the West Midlands Golf Club. The course was opened in 2003 and the greens and tees have been built to USGA specification, this means they have a sand base with undersoil drainage system which allows them to be played all year round, so there are no temporary greens (except on frosty mornings) and we never use temporary tees.

The course Par 74 is set in a parkland setting with mature trees and contoured landscapes, extending over 234 acres including the 21 acre Barston Lake, which is the setting for the final hole, the 18th, a Par 3 of around 120 to 140 yards, the green of which is set on an island, reminiscent of the 17th at the Stadium course at Sawgrass, one of the most famous holes in golf!

Great Britains Longest hole!

Home to GB’s longest hole, "The Devil" hole no 8 is a Par 6, 666 yards from the yellow tees (hence the name ‘The Devil’) and 725 yards from the blue tees. Recently introduced by CONGU, this is only the third 6 Par hole in Great Britain.
