Llanymynech Golf Club

18 Hole Par70 Parkland Course, Pro Shop

Situated atop Llanymynech Hill and overlooking the villages of Llanymynech and Pant, approximately 9 miles from Welshpool, Llanymynech Golf Club lies between Oswestry and Four Crosses on the Welsh border with Shropshire. Llanymynech is a perfect place to explore golf in Mid-Wales.

From the course it is possible to view 12 of the old ‘shire counties’, including Shropshire, Cheshire, Flintshire and Denbighshire. There is a section ofOffa’s Dykeon the western edge of the course, and theOffa’s Dyke Pathcrosses the course.

The course also has a unique claim to fame since it straddles the English-Welsh border, with 15 holes in Wales and three in England. Holes one to three are played in Wales, before golfers tee off on the fourth in Wales and hole out in England. They then remain in England until returning to Wales for the seventh tee. This makes Llanymynech the perfect place for a Golfing Wales break, whether for a few days, a whole week or just a few holes.
