Hindhead Golf Club

18 Hole Par70 Course, Pro Shop, Academy

Our aim is to present an acclaimed heathland course with the finest greens in a friendly and welcoming Members’ Club.

Founded in 1904 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and a small group of golfing enthusiasts, Hindhead Golf Club is set in one of the most glorious natural settings and ranks amongst the best of Britain’s heathland courses.

The 18-hole layout measures 6,390 yards, with a par of 70 and, situated close to the A3 and just an hour's drive from London, this wonderfully conditioned and presented course is a must for every golfer.

Hindhead has five different tees of different course lengths that provide a fair test of golf for all abilities from Academy starters, juniors, fast-improvers and all the way through to scratch and plus handicap players.

Club competitions are usually played off White or Yellow tees for the men and Red tees for the ladies, with the Orange tees being a mix of Yellow and Red. The Blue tees allow an achievable test for the Academy starter player who, with planned Academy instruction from our PGA Professional and his team, can quickly work up to the longer courses.

The first hole starts close to the Clubhouse and Pro Shop, and the 18th green sits just a few feet from the Clubhouse Patio making it a marvellous spectator finish.

Holes 2 to 9 sweep through two Ice-Age glacier formed valleys and work their way down and back up across the upper plateau.

All very different in character that together provide a wonderful and memorable golfing experience.
