Kirkcudbright Golf Club

18 Hole par69 Course

Welcome to Kirkcudbright Golf Course - A parkland course of excellent quality and variety

Situated on the southern edge of the town Kirkcudbright Golf Course was founded in1893 as a nine-hole course on its present site and continued until land was acquired in the 1970’s. In 1978 the layout was redesigned and new holes incorporated to create an 18-hole course and the acquisition of grants and energetic fund raising allowed a new clubhouse to be erected in 1987.

Through the enthusiasm of our members we continue to improve facilities in the clubhouse today and to enhance the golf experience on the course.

The gentle slopes of Kirkcudbright Golf Course reward the golfer with magnificent panoramic views over the Galloway Hills and the Dee Estuary with the natural contours and features of the ground used to ensure that each hole has its own unique feel and challenges. Well placed bunkers and two small ponds ensure that the course can be enjoyed by all levels of golfer testing your skill more than the par 69 (ladies 72)  would suggest.

Founded in 1893 as a 9 hole course we have developed over the years into a well established, challenging, yet panoramic 18 hole course with full facilities available to both members and visitors.

Located on the Southern edge of the small, yet busy town of Kirkcudbright the course has magnificent views of the town, the River Dee and the Galloway Hills. The Club is just ½ hour driving time from Dumfries, one hour from the M6/74 corridor to the East and to the West lies the Irish ferry terminals at Stranraer – again just under an hour's drive away.

The course offers players of all ages and handicaps a fine round of golf - it has recently been rated in the top 10 courses in the region - and for those who wish, buggies are also available. The small, yet intimate, Clubhouse offers all modern facilities and you can use the lounge to sit back, relax and discuss the finer points of your round over a hot drink!
