South Kyme Golf Club

18 Hole Par72 Course, Golf Shop
"South Kyme Golf Course is Par 72 and 6566 yards long from the white tees.”

It is a fenland course which, given a few more years for the many recently planted trees to mature, will develop into a superb parkland environment. There’s an added dimension of a number of excellent water hazards and some pretty heavy rough, not to mention the often strong fenland winds. If your drives miss the fairways South Kyme can become quite challenging even to better players. The course now has excellent drainage and often remains open when other courses around are forced to close.

A little about us…

Our club was founded by Mr Ted Maplethorpe in 1990 when he turned 136 acres of his family held farm into what is now our course making it a challenging 6485 yards long. The members bought out Ted in 1998 when he wanted to retire and since then many developments have taken place and is continuing to do so at quite a pace. Course changes have occurred most years since the take over culminating in impressive enhancements to holes twelve, thirteen and fourteen and an increase in length to 6556 yards. New fairway bunkers have been added to the first and fourth with a superb new raised competition tee on the fourth.

The club has sections for all categories and certainly boasts one of the strongest Senior and Rabbits sections in the county together with a constantly growing Ladies section.
SKGC has an excellent social scene where you can bring your wife or partner and join in and meet new friends at any of our varied selection of clubhouse events. There are also Golfer and Non Golfer and Cross Country golfing events during the season which can include your partner and family.
