Sale Golf Club, founded in 1913, is a well established parkland course with a standard scratch of 70.

The Clubhouse, the lodge of Sale Old Hall Circa 1830, is steeped in tradition and has a well-earned reputation for good food and hospitality. Famous for our 'Open Champion', Richard Burton, who was the last 'Club Professional' to win the Open Championship, we have been home to many great golfers including Joanne Morley, who played on the Ladies professional circuit.

We are extremely proud to say that we are the first Golf Club in the Mersey Valley to be GolfMark and Clubmark accredited and one of only eight Clubs in the whole of Cheshire to achieve this.

Set in an idyllic rural location next to Trafford Water Sports Centre, Sale Golf Club offers a gently undulating parkland course that presents an enjoyable challenge to both high and low handicap golfers.

Providing ‘year round’ play, the course is maintained to the highest standards using the latest equipment. Fairways and outstanding greens are amongst the best within the region, making this the perfect setting to enjoy a round of golf.
